PRRY FCL 48ft Container Wagon

These wagons were built in China for FCL to handle their heavy 48ft container but they can also handle 1 x 40ft or 2 x 20ft containers.

They share similar design characteristics to the 2nd batch of CFCLA CQBY 60ft wagons.

 

Builders:

 

-                      Qiqihar Rollingstock Work, China built 20 in 2005 and they are numbered 5006-5025.

Bogies: detail types fitted (dates if possible)

 

Coding: Only coded PRRY to date.

 

Colour Scheme:

-                      Painted FCL brown with light grey bogies and carries a black codeboard with white writing,

 

Modifications: No modifications to date

 

Similar Vehicles: Similar to the PN RQRY

 

Period of Service: 2005 to Current.

 

Operation: Initially used to transport 48ft containers from FCL Parkes, NSW depot to Kewdale, WA on PN intermodal services, they have since been sold to PN and are pooled into their intermodal wagon fleet and travel throughout the SG rail network.

 

Modelling:

Auscision Models produced a RTR HO model in 2009.
