K open wagons were modified to carry tinplate. The modification involved
fitting a second layer of 6” x 1½” floor boards to the wagon. The floor boards
were laid longitudinally, as the original layer was laid laterally. It is
unsure whether the tinplate was loaded in sheet form or crated.
