This wagon was designed by WP Willams & Assoc for National Rail in 1997. It was built by ANI Bradken at Braemar and is the prototype for the RKKY billet/feedstock wagons. It is capable of carrying a slab steel load or two coil steel ‘butter boxes’.

Length: 14.6m Tare: 19t Capacity: 73t Gross: 92t

Bogies: 70t CCSB.

Coding: As introduced, RKZY.

Colour Scheme: Only painted in NRC livery.

Period of Service: 1997 – 2004.

Operation: The wagon saw limited use until about 2004. It has since been in storage at Pt Kembla North yard.

Modelling: PLAN. Will have to be scratchbuilt.
