5 wagons were built by Clyde Wagon Works in
1970-71 using Tulloch fishbelly underframes from condemned MLV vans. The
underframes were fitted with a frame, on which are mounted 4 spherical aluminum
tanks. They were given Mechanical Branch ‘L’ series numbers when built, but
were renumbered 4151-4155 when they entered general traffic.

from Portland and Kandos. These wagons were superceeded in this traffic by the PRX hoppers. Modified for use as loco sand wagons
afterwards.
