Bogies: Mostly XCL and XCF, but any exchange type rated for 80km/h.

 

Coding:

-                     As introduced,

-                     Recoded NTHF from 1979.

 

Colour Scheme:

-                     Generally painted overall white tank with bottom 3rd of tank black along with underframe. Logo’s and lettering has changed from time to time, but have been seen with ‘Boral Gas’ and ‘SPEED-E-GAS’ logo’s on the tank sides.

Period of Service: 1967 to mid 1990’s

 

Operation:

            The tankers were loaded at Boral’s Cooks River plant and attached to general freight trains as required.

 

Modelling:

No kit is available, but combining suitable tank car components would be a good start.
