These were converted from BDY/CCY/NCDY open
wagons and fitted with cradles for carrying medium sized coiled steel plate. It
is unknown whether the cradles existed inside the open wagon bodies, but the
conversion and recoding included removal of the body sides and ends.

These wagons operated on steel
trains originating from Pt Kembla and travelled to Morandoo, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, carrying coiled steel plate and
occasionally Zinc ingots.

point.
